Enjoying Washington D.C. and NCSM!!

My heart has been so FULL while in D.C.! Wow! 🤩I’ve been so excited to connect with math rockstars and the TRIBE of educators that have always been there for me and for students across this nation. And BONUS: I got to meet some heroes and legends along the way, including math guru Peter Liljedahl and even stand up comedian, Dave Chapel who walked pass me in the restaurant and wouldn’t let me take his photo😂 (I’ve got receipts).

Visiting the National Archives was breaktaking. These young ladies were drawn to me and one kept saying I was so familiar …turns out , her teacher had her watch my TEDx talk!!🤩🥰😂🤩 She was freaking out lol. I’m just in awe as I’ve beheld the original documents that made the U.S. a reality!

Visiting Dr. Luther King reassured me that peace is our endgoal for all teachers and students. I can’t wait to see the great things that will evolve from all of this!
